Many people use dye based on their feelings. Either I used too little dye and it didn’t produce color, or I didn’t use enough dye. If you use too much dye, it may be a waste, but if you use less, if your hair is not dyed properly, it will be a waste of money. So how do you determine how much dyestuff you should use? It can be judged based on the following criteria.
1. Hair length
The length of your hair affects the amount of dye you use. Different lengths of hair require completely different amounts of dye. If you have long hair, you naturally use a lot of dye. If you have short hair, one box of dye is definitely enough.
If your hair is long, it is recommended that you try to buy two boxes. This is mainly to prevent the dye from not being enough. There is no need to worry about waste. As long as the dye is not mixed and stored properly, it can be used within the shelf life.
2. Hair quality
Different hair types will also slightly affect the amount of dye used. If your hair is thin and soft, you can use less dye and rub it more during the dyeing process to get a better coloring effect. But if your hair is thick and thick, it’s better to use more dye. Because of this kind of hair quality, if you use less dye, the color will be uneven and the effect will not be obvious.
If the hair is already damaged, such as dry, frizzy, and broken ends, this situation will increase the amount of dye used and will also affect the coloring effect. Therefore, I suggest to everyone that in this case, it is recommended to take care of your hair a little before dyeing it, otherwise, you will use more dye.
3. Hair volume and hair density
This is relatively clear at a glance. People with thick and thick hair need to apply more dye when applying dye to ensure that it is evenly applied to the entire hair. On the contrary, people with less hair and sparse hair need less dye.
